		<description>While you are right about Iran being a theocracy, it&#039;s not Ahmadinejad who is to blame really. I had a reality check when I saw the Iranian consulate in Paris it says the Islamic Republic of Iran, not Iran, so the nation by its own definition is a theocracy.

If Ahmadinejad is to blame, it&#039;s simply for being a corrupt leader, religion and corruption do not always correlate (well, I don&#039;t have evidence for either!) but I wouldn&#039;t blame religion for Iran&#039;s problems.

Clearly, a nation is completely able to be corrupt without a religious reason, see North Korea.

I remember when Kim Jong-il shot 38 under par the first time he played golf!

All it takes is power and fear to control a nation, religion takes care of the fear usually.</description>
