    1. You know, I thought the Batman article was pretty entertaining….

    2. Me too. And extra-special bonus points for it mentioning the Batman Beyonds animated series in a relevant way. I’m sure all the trendy sheeple who insist on flocking to the movie theatres to see the latest hollywood production (which will be on netflix in 6 months) than, say, go to my house party tomorrow, probably never even heard of it.

    3. Is Batman Beyond a not well known thing?

If I may speak for the younger generation, I can say that it was definitely on my Saturday Morning cartoon schedule at one point in my earlier life.

    4. I’m betting that if you walked into a theatre showing the movie, and asked people who have seen it to raise their hand, that you’d see less than 5%…

    5. Ah well, I know I don’t even remember much about it. I was a bit turned off by the futuristic aspect of it all :(

    6. Sure, it may not be official canon (were the original creators involved? or even the creators of the 1990s Batman animated series? I don’t know), but I thought the futuristic aspect was pretty cool. Seeing Bruce Wayne as an old man (but with the same voice actor) was pretty cool too. Hell, I even watched all 26 episodes of The Zeta Project, which was an unrelated (except for 2 episodes) spinoff :D

    7. I think at the same time as this, Static Shock came out, and I was all for Static Shock.

    8. Now THAT I have to disagree with. I thought SS sucked (which is rare for me, to hate a superhero cartoon), though I did manage to get through the crossover episode that featured Static Shock and…. Who.. X-Men Evolution? I don’t remember.

    9. Well, as an african american youth at the time, it really spoke to me!

      >.>

      Err, im white nevermind.

But hey, X-men Evolution, got those 4 seasons right next to the other X-men Cartoon’s 5 seasons on my external, haha.

    10. hahaha, DJ Nicklo :) And yes, those 2 x-men series kicked ass. Esp. the 1990s one. Esp the Phoenix and Dark Phoenix and Beyond Good And Evil sagas.

    11. How do you feel about the state of the art 90s spiderman cartoon? The one that seems to be made for like, ADD kids.

Not counting intro or ending credits, those episodes were like, 17-18 minutes long. And super fast.

    12. That’s the same length as any 30 minute show, minus commercials, opening credits, ending credits, and intro (”previously on…”). It was a great show — Not my favorite of the lineup back then, but still great. Nice and serialized. And Spider-Man Unlimited was pretty cool too, picking up KIND OF where it left off but ignoring the Mary Jane questions.

The MTV Spider-Man animated series, too, was interesting … but in a different way.

And now we have Spectacular Spider-Man, by Greg Weisman creator of Gargoyles. Also really cool.
