Hahaha, good stuff.

1) I would have liked to have heard how the speed dating went! If I was single, I would try that. It seems much more efficient than playing online games. Plus, it was damned funny in the 40 Year Old Virgin! But I think physical presence accounts for a lot that can't be accounted for online.

2) Incidentally, I met Carolyn online originally. But to even *BE* online in 1991 serves as a "personality dimension" of it's own, PLUS it meant that the person was in your local call area. Which for me was limited to JUST my county. And then I found out she went to my school. And looked her up in the yearbook when she told me her name. And had already noticed her (I memorized everyone's faces I saw walking past class.)

Our first words to each other?
Carolyn: "Are you Satan?"
Clint: "Are you Magic Mist?"

If "Are you Satan?" isn't the foundation of a good relationship, I don't know what is! hah

3) You should really try OKCupid.com. They have questions that determine the dimensions of your personality. About *2000*. And not only do you answer them, but you say what your ideal match would answer -- it might not be the same thing that you want. And you also say how much it matters to you -- so with just 1 out of 2000 questions you COULD phase out a lot of people (Be careful!)

Although the site has made its interface worse lately, the algorithms were made by MIT Math Majors I believe.

I have to extend my search to about 500 miles away before it will even score another woman higher than Carolyn's compatibility score with me. That's pretty damn accurate. And my friend Angel always shows up in my top 5 or so. So the thing works.

Of course, not as many people USE the site as Match.com. But it's FREE.

4) Good Groucho quote :)
